Green Spider Films is a documentary production company dedicated to telling the stories of indigenous, shamanic cultures and peoples around the world for preservation and education through the beauty and power of the moving image.

Founded in 2002 by Producer Anna Stevens, the goal of Green Spider Films is to give the indigenous peoples of the world a voice through film, to honor their spirits and wisdom and work with them to bring their traditions, healing knowledge, and understanding of nature to the word. By showing what is worth preserving, rather than concentrating on what is being lost, we strive to aid in preserving indigenous peoples, their cultures and environments during these times of great challenge and global change. GSF has a high ethic of filmmaking. We draw from a pool of talented and professional crew from around the world, and we strive to live up to our reputation for producing meaningful and beautiful, quality work.



Anna Stevens is a producer, director and editor, and founder of Green Spider Films. She holds a BA of Moving Image Arts from the College of Santa Fe. Between 1998 and 2002 she directed for Santa Fe Community television. Her work during that time included numerous commercials, corporate training videos, as well as media work for local non profits. In 2002 her short subject documentary The Mystic Traveler was an official selection of the CSF Juried Show and is now featured on the DVD Frame By Frame. Her past producing credits include, a nine part television series, Understanding People (2001), Green Medicine: On the Path of Herbal Remedies (2000), The Mystic Traveler (2002), Woven Songs of the Amazon (2006).

She is currently in production on “Keepers of the Rainforest” and “The Inca Trail” a seven part series being produced in conjunction with Bigworld Communications.
